(Associate) Developer (f/m/d) - Transportation Management in S/4HANA Private Cloud

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll do:

SAP Transportation Management (TM) is one of SAP’s most successful solutions, delivering mission-critical transportation processes for numerous global players across industries. Within the S/4HANA Private Cloud oneLogistics unit, with teams in Germany, Hungary, India, and China, our TM engineering teams focus on developing the core components of our transportation solution. This includes advanced planning and optimization, end-to-end order management, and the seamless internal and external integration of transportation processes.

As we continue to invest in delivering the Intelligent Enterprise, we increasingly incorporate AI-driven concepts and automation using the latest SAP S/4HANA technologies. You will help shape these next generation capabilities by extending existing features, exploring AI-supported development patterns, and contributing to the evolution of our transportation solution.

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated (Associate) Developer (f/m/d) with a solid background in ABAP and enterprise logistics solutions within SAP S/4HANA.

In close collaboration with customers, partners, and SAP colleagues, you will refine requirements and design, enhance, and implement solutions. In addition to building new features, you will also work on customer incidents, performance improvements, and code optimization.

You will take ownership of topics within your area of expertise, drive them proactively, and promote a culture of collaboration, open communication, and continuous feedback in a team that values trust, respect, and diversity.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business informatics, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (ABAP OO preferred)
and software engineering fundamentals (clean code, design patterns, testability)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development - graduates welcome!
  • Open-minded, problem-solving attitude and a positive spirit - even in challenging situations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Self-driven and outcome-oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • AI and growth mindset - proactive, curious, and eager to continuously improve products, processes, and skills
  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience in logistics processes, ideally SAP Transportation Management, is a plus
