As part of empowered Lean team setup, we are seeking an experienced AI Application developer who is among the founding team to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions within the SAP ecosystem building intelligent, scalable products using cutting-edge AI and machine learning. The ideal candidate will design, build, and enhance enterprise-grade AI oriented mobile applications that integrate intelligent capabilities, leveraging SAP’s mobile services, SAP BTP, LLMs, AI Core, and cloud-native extensions. You will work closely with architects, UX designers, and Product specialists to deliver high-performance mobile solutions within the SAP ecosystem. We’re looking for an AI Engineer who enjoys ownership, experimentation, and shipping impact fast.

What you`ll do:

• Own end-to-end AI productization from concept to scalable, reliable production.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines using Python, Java, or Go.
• Develop agentic and autonomous AI systems with secure, compliant, enterprise-grade architectures.
• Implement advanced AI capabilities, including:
  • NLP pipelines and conversational assistants
  • Semantic search, recommendation systems, and vector search
  • Classification, summarization, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and generative AI workflows for enterprise and mobile apps
• Integrate AI logic into transactional systems using OData and REST services.
• Develop and deploy applications on SAP BTP using SAP AI, Event Mesh, Cloud Foundry, and Kyma (Kubernetes).
• Build and extend enterprise applications using SAP CAP and SAP RAP.
• Work with SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA, and SAP Joule.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI frameworks; fine-tune and optimize models.
• Design and maintain MLOps pipelines for training, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Integrate AI solutions with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and core business processes.

What you bring:

• 3–8 years of mobile/enterprise development experience with strong Python skills; working knowledge of Java or Go; exposure to SAP MDK and SAP BTP.
• Experience with SAP Process Automation, Workflow Management, SAP Build tools, SAP CAP (Node.js/Java), and/or SAP RAP.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and deploying models to production.
• knowledge of SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma), SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA, OData, and SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with LLMs, vector databases, prompt engineering, cloud-native design, APIs, CI/CD, and distributed systems.
• Implement secure authentication using SAP Identity Services, OAuth, and XSUAA; SAP Fiori/UI5 and SAP functional modules are a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, architectural leadership, mentoring, ownership from design to delivery, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in Lean pod setup working with product specialists and architects to design scalable mobile + AI architectures.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical challenges. Ability to work in Lean pod setup.

Working with standard LOBs, our mission is to provide best-in-class planning and supply chain functionality that adapts to fast-changing business needs with a clear Retail industry focus. SAP S/4HANA Retail offers industrialized, innovative AI cloud services that set the market standard for retail. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into SAP applications such as S/4HANA, Retail industry solutions, and SAP Build apps.
